Cities and Counties Across California Adopt Open PACE Marketplace Strategy

Cities and counties continue to make improvements in how to best implement Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) within their community. Today, more than 69 cities and counties have approved multiple PACE programs to operate simultaneously within their jurisdiction.

PACE legislation enables property owners to finance improvement projects through their property taxes, allowing them to pay for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and water efficiency systems over time. The legislation was designed to help residential and commercial property owners lower utility costs, increase property values, stimulate job creation, support energy independence and help municipalities to reach state-mandated reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. Read more.
