PACE in CA: Placer County waives fee for low-interest loans on water conservation improvements

Placer County has lowered the cost of using a government-run program that can help finance water-conservation improvements.

Called PACE, the county-run Property Assessed Clean Energy program has been a popular way to add solar power. But it also can be used to finance many water conservation upgrades. Terms are generally more favorable than a conventional loan and interest is tax deductible. Financing is available up to 9.9 percent of the owner’s equity. Read more.
