The Energy Alliance Group of Michigan is hosting an event on Tuesday, Oct. 13 in Traverse City, MI. For more information, see below:
Learn about Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing at a free panel discussion, “Keeping PACE with Energy Efficiency in Michigan,” Tuesday, Oct. 13 at University Center of Northwestern Michigan College, 2200 Dendrinos Drive, Traverse City, MI 49684.
A Michigan PACE finance expert, Cory Connolly, Clean Energy Program Manager at Levin Energy Partners LLC and Lean & Green Michigan finance district, will be on the panel, moderated by Scott Ringlein, president of The Energy Alliance Group of Michigan.
In April 2014, the Grand Traverse County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution to become a countywide PACE district through Lean & Green Michigan. PACE allows commercial and industrial property owners to borrow money to make energy and water efficiency improvements and add renewable energy technology. The loan is repaid through a special assessment on property tax bills.
By financing such projects through PACE, businesses can eliminate the need for upfront capital and spread the costs over 10 or 20 years so that the savings generated from the project are greater than the annual PACE loan repayment – generating immediate positive cash flow.
