The following is a press release from the Town of West Hartford:
WEST HARTFORD – Commercial building owners and managers are invited to an information meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 7:45 to 9 a.., at West Hartford Town Hall, Room 400, to learn how they can access cleaner, cheaper and more reliable energy through an innovative financing program called C-PACE.
Commercial and Industrial Property Assessed Clean Energy, C-PACE, is a state-wide program administered by the Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority and interested municipalities. The Town of West Hartford joined the program in May 2013 and over 275 buildings within the municipality are now eligible for C-PACE financing. Hundreds of millions of dollars in energy upgrades are possible throughout Connecticut. C-PACE enables our state to access the private capital to finance it. C-PACE provides 100 percent upfront, long-term financing for cost-saving energy retrofits for commercial, industrial, non-profit and multi-family facilities. Improvements include energy efficient boilers, upgraded insulation, new windows and solar installations. Read more.
